Using multiple cameras in your podcast studio offers a few key advantages.

    Opportunity to showcase different angles, in perspective and edit – keeping your audience attention and interest.

    Create more potential opportunities for cleaner, transitions – allowing you to cut out boring segments.

    Create stronger and hopefully higher performing Mark and material – making micro clips for social media channels.

One of the main goals is to potentially break up single static visuals into a more dynamic experience in order to hold onto your audience’s interest for video podcasts. Keeping in mind through your hardware, editing, and final product you should be able to hold onto your audiences attention, who chooses to watch the podcast episodes.

Stories are King

One of the most fundamental pieces of producing a great Podcast is making sure that both the host and I guess utilize stories when sharing experiences.

Remember these following tips when trying to share stories.

Hook The Audience WIth Your Voice

    Start with a Strong Hook: Give them a reason to stay in the first 3 seconds. This can be a question, an anecdote, or a provocative statement.
  2. 2
    Use Descriptive Language: Use descriptive language and vivid imagery to help listeners visualize and experience the story. Allow them to visualize your environment.
  3. 3
    Vary Your Pacing and Tone: Varying your pacing and tone will help keep listeners engaged and prevent them from becoming bored. Adding musicality to your story as well bring so much more value to your storytelling.
  4. 4
    Come Prepared with Key Stories: if possible, come prepared with some stories to the common questions that you might be asked such as how did you get into XYZ? Again come prepared, but do not try to memorize your stories.
  5. 5
    Refine your Stories: After you record your story, take some time review. Take the time to review comments, input from people on the Podcast, and other listeners to see what resonates and stick stuck out for listeners. This will help you refine and adjust your stories so that they become more memorable as you learn what is relatable.

Sometimes a overlooked aspect of a video podcast is designing it so that it is turnkey to set up and start. As credos, we are busy with many things usually on our minds and on our plates. So creating a simple step-by-step checklist can allow you to quickly and easily record a podcast episode without fail. Add the following components to your checklist:

  • Outline Key Steps: Nail down the purpose and part in your process. Breaking it into categories of pre-recording, recording, and post-recording will ensure nothing is missed.
  • Identify Key Tasks: Next, identify all of the tasks that need to be completed in order to achieve the category goal of the checklist. These tasks should be specific and a single simple step.
  • Organize the tasks: Arrange the tasks in the order in which they need to be completed. This will help you stay organized and ensure that you don't miss any important steps.
  • Review and test the checklist: Once you have completed the checklist, review it to make sure that it covers all of the necessary tasks and is organized in a logical order. Then, test the checklist by using it to record a podcast episode. This will help you identify any areas where the checklist may need to be revised or improved.
  • Revise and update the checklist periodicallly: As you use the checklist, you may identify areas where it can be improved or revised. Make updates as needed to ensure that the checklist remains an effective and useful tool.
